'Black Saint and the Sinner Lady' Listening Party Thursday 19th November 2020 8pm
Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know about a project I'm involved with which will be streamed this Thursday 19th Nov at 8pm. The Nu Civilisation Orchestra which I direct has been working with dance company the Clod Ensemble to develop a very special choreographed performance of Charles Mingus' 'Black Saint and the Sinner lady.
Sadly due to Covid lockdown we can't perform the music live as intended however the dancers have recorded footage to the original recording and will be presenting it as part of a listening session online. I will be talking with the directors of the Clod Ensemble about the music between tracks. What I've seen so far looks amazing so get yourselves a ticket and join us for the performance !
