I've been very busy working the next Nu Civilisation Orchestra Project and I'm delighted to say that we're currently touring the music of Marvin Gaye. 'What's Going On' is one of the finest works of the 20th century and we shall be performing the album in it's entirety with the incredible Noel McCoy providing the lead vocals.
We will also be performing one of Marvin's lesser known works for film. He followed up 'What's Going On' with the soundtrack to 'Trouble Man' a 1972 film directed by Ivan Dixon. It's a real insight into Marvin's compositional prowess and artistic ambition. Most of the music if instrumental with Marvin singing the main theme. It's an absolute masterpiece and we will be playing a suite of the film score which includes the underscore and diegetic music. We will also have visuals provided by 'Yeast Culture' and guest spoken word artists joining us for each performance.
